Everyone who uses a parachute knows its weaknesses - handles that tear, perimeter stitching that opens, perimeter ropes that are either missing or too small to grasp, and mesh crown vents that shred along the stitching lines.

GripStarChutes have an incredibly strong, 3/8"-diameter, braided, polyester rope cable. Observe a GripStarChute being used, and you'll see that no force is ever directly exerted on chute material or seams. Our proprietary design results in 100% of the force being transferred to the rope, no matter how you grab the chute. The only force ever exerted on a GripStarChute's nylon material or seams is from the air billowing beneath.

GripStar Handles are set inside the hem, rolled around the rope, and then stitched to itself. The result is a 4-layer construction, where stitching goes through the handle webbing, through the first layer on nylon, back through the webbing, and out through a 2nd layer of nylon. This manufacturing technique marries handle, rope, and chute nylon into a single integrated unit. All the force exerted by the handle directly upon the virtually indestructible rope cable. We also upgraded the mesh and stitching of the "vent hole," so that it will allow air through, while barring the way for small heads and objects. Handles are placed every 3' to 4'; participants calculated for every 2' to 2-1/2'.
