SofTip™ TurboJav™

Provides Your Programs With "Safe Points" on Throwing Skills Development for Any Age

The SofTip TurboJav is the 5th generation of a product designed by Olympic competitor Tom Petranoff in 1991. It was created to accomplish two distinctly different purposes:

1. To provide a success-oriented activity to motivate, regardless of ability, participation in an activity that encourages the development of throwing skills.
2. To provide a javelin skill training tool for beginner, intermediate and advanced athletes.

The SofTip TurboJav can be thrown by virtually anyone from early elementary school age on up. It can be easily thrown from a wheelchair. Beginning throwers start within a few feet of the target and gradually work there way back as they learn the mechanics.

The TurboJav is held much like a dart, next to the head, with the tip and the opposite hand pointed at the target.

Aerodynamics Is The Key
To perfect the aerodynamics of the 27-1/2" (70cm), 7-oz. (260g) polyethylene SofTip TurboJav, Tom Petranoff employed the talents of a missile engineer.

The perfection of its flight has led to the TurboJav's implementation as a competition and training aid in South Africa, Finland, Australia, Japan, Estonia, Sweden, Switzerland, Colombia and the USA.
